After graduating with a degree in English Literature in 2001, I started my career writing marketing materials for specialist insurer Hiscox, before going on to take PMA Media Training's highly regarded postgraduate course in magazine journalism.
I then joined Insurance Times as a reporter, which involved writing extensively both for the paper and the magazine's website.
I left in 2003 to join insurance broking firm Willis, where I worked on a wide range of internal and external communications.
From there, I joined contract publisher Wardour as editor of Abbey's staff publication, which I relaunched and took on to win the APA's prestigious Best Internal Magazine award. At Wardour I also managed publications for other clients including Aon, Dixons, Lloyd's of London, MFI and KPMG.
I worked for specialist PR agency Lucid Communication (now part of Luther Pendragon) from 2006 to 2012 on writing, editing and PR projects for a range of clients, including Clyde & Co, BDO Stoy Hayward, Gard and Miller.
I set up my freelance business in 2013. I specialise in writing and editing for a range of City clients, with a particular focus on accountancy, insurance and law firms. I have worked with clients including Deloitte, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, JLT Specialty, Miller, Kingsbridge, Leigh Day and Mills & Reeve.
